Laura Goebel was appointed to the Jackson County Fire District #4 Board of Directors to fill the vacant Position #5, with a term ending June 30, 2027.

Originally from Texas, Laura moved to Shady Cove with her family from New Braunfels in 2016. Two years later, she and her family opened Goebel's Country Store & BBQ, a locally owned business that has become a well-known gathering place for both local residents and visitors to the Rogue Valley. Along with operating their business in Oregon, the Goebel family continues to own a ranch just outside Big Bend National Park in Texas.

As a small business owner, Laura has developed extensive experience in financial management, customer service, employee leadership, and day-to-day operations. She believes that strong public safety services are essential to a thriving community and is committed to ensuring Jackson County Fire District #4 remains a fiscally responsible, professional, and responsive organization.

Laura is the proud mother of four children and grandmother of two grandchildren. She is honored to serve the citizens of Jackson County Fire District #4 and is committed to helping ensure the District continues to meet the needs of the community for years to come.
